body clean meal planPutting together a meal plan for cleansing is easy.

Choose from fruits and vegetables you know you like, and make sure to eat a variety. If you eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits, and then fill the rest of your diet in with nuts, seeds, beans, whole, non-glutenous grains, and small servings of lean organic meat (optional), you will be providing yourself all you need to cleanse.

Here is what a typical day might look:

Breakfast: a bowl of fruit or a fruit salad, no coffee, a glass of cool water or warm water with fresh squeezed lemon juice and cayenne, and decaf herbal tea

Snack 1: Almonds, pecans, or pumpkin seeds with a fresh fruit or vegetable

Lunch: A fresh salad with raw lettuce and vegetables, black beans, nuts, or seeds, salad dressing
made from fresh squeezed lemon juice. Optional: drizzle cold pressed olive oil over salad

Snack 2: a fruit or vegetable serving, nuts or seeds optional. Smoothies and juices are good options.

Dinner: Cooked or steamed vegetables, steamed whole grains, like quinoa, millet, whole grain rice or amaranth, lean chicken or fish, or a veggie patty. You could also choose a baked potato stuffed with steamed vegetables and fresh, sugar free salsa.

During your cleanse, and all the time, you should be drinking plenty of fresh clean water, about 1/2 an ounce for every pound that you weigh. You will also be drinking teas and detox beverages aimed at helping your body eliminate. Warm water with fresh squeezed lemon juice and a dash of cayenne powder is a great example.

You can also add turmeric to your water as a liver cleanser and general detoxer. Homemade juices and smoothies are more options. The fact that you will be taking in liquids and eating only healthy foods in portions just big enough to fill you up means you shouldn’t be hungry, and, at the same time, you will likely loose some weight. How much will depend on how overweight you are.

The rules with this plan are to remove toxic foods, eggs, wheat, dairy, processed foods, caffeine, etc, from your diet and base your daily eating patterns around whole, raw fruits and vegetables. Which fruits and vegetables are up to you, but there are some general don’ts:

For instance, don’t eat bananas every day, they can overload your liver. Also, avoid peanuts, since they have an unpleasant fat ratio and can even contain mold. Peanuts, like bananas, are an occasional food. Don’t eat anything with an alarmingly long shelf life, and don’t eat anything you know contains pesticides or added sugars – even dried fruit.

Your body-clean meal plan is just that easy.
