There are things you can do, using natural ingredients, which will cleanse your entire self, and cost you no more than your normal food bill. Here are some recipes for detox drinks and meals that really work:

Cleansing Drinks: Having a juicer is great, but it isn’t necessary. A cheaper blender will do the trick. You can also make detox drinks with just some hot water, fresh squeezed lemon, and cayenne powder. Simply add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, squeeze a slice of lemon into 8 oz. of warm water, and drink it down. Do this up to three times per day.

If you have a juicer, you can juice raw fruits and vegetables for a concentration of easily assimilated vitamins and plant nutrients. Or, you can make fruit and vegetable smoothies in your blender by adding them to you blender, along with water or unfiltered apple juice for more liquid, if you need it.

Cleansing meals: Eating raw fruits and vegetables is a quick, simple way to detox at home. Plan your meals for the next three days, cut caffeine and other toxic foods, and embark on a raw food diet made up of fresh fruits and veggies. After three days, you can continue your detox, but make it a little less intense by adding in raw nuts and seeds, whole, non-glutenous grains, and reasonable servings of chicken or fish.

Instead of starting your cleanse with a raw food diet…

For a more intense introduction, you can try the lemon cleanse for two or three days. The lemon cleanse consists of water, fresh squeezed lemon, a or b grade maple syrup, and cayenne powder. Mix the ingredients together for a cleansing drink and drink several glasses a day. Don’t take in any other foods, and drink nothing else except water.

The lemon cleanse diet can lead into a raw foods diet for three days, followed by a more sustainable eating plan, as we talked about above, or, you can go from the lemon cleanse into a 30-day plan consisting of fruits, vegetables, non-glutenous grains, nuts, seeds, and lean meats.

There are several ways to cleanse, but the key is to cleanse in a way that will leave you healthier and help you kick your bad eating habits.
