Meal Plan for Healthy Digestion
Before we talk about a meal plan for healthy digestion, we should discuss some of the biggest factors in proper food processing within the body.
There are two which are the most essential: Appropriate pH balance, and healthy digestive bacteria. Both of these should be present in an optimum body.
Unfortunately, proper pH balance and friendly gut bacteria are fragile things. To keep them, we have to take good care of ourselves and avoid anything which might disturb them, and, the saddest part, once we lose one, we also lose the other. This means activities such as a unhealthy eating or taking too many antibiotics are easily and quickly detrimental to our digestive health.
If you’re missing probiotics in your gut, or if your pH balance is off-kilter, don’t worry. It is possible to get your body back to normal with a meal plan for healthy digestion. When we stop taking in toxic foods or bacteria destroying pills, and start eating the right way, we are more than capable of healing completely.
The key is to replace the gut bacteria, while, at the same time, making your body more alkaline by eating fresh, raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and a few non-glutenous grains and lean meats, like chicken or fish. To replace the living microflora in your digestive system, you can either take a probiotic, or eat or drink foods which contain them, such as sauerkraut (pickled cabbage) or kombucha tea.
Avoid milk products, like yogurt, even if they do contain microflora. Dairy is difficult to digest and causes inflammation and other allergic reactions, like asthma. It also causes mucus to form in the digestive tract and bowels. A meal plan for healthy digestion should exclude this, along with eggs, glutenous grains, corn, and soy, since all of these are known allergens.
Instead, most of your diet should include whole foods, especially fruit and vegetables.
You can make salads, smoothies or juices at home, or simply eat these items raw. Leafy greens, berries, and antiseptic foods, such as garlic and onions are especially important. What is most necessary, though, is keeping processed, sugary, or fried foods totally out of the diet for now.
When you eliminate these things and start eating right, you will be doing yourself a big favor. Healthy digestion is something none of us can live without. When we don’t adequately process our foods, we fail to absorb nutrients, eliminate waste, and build our immune systems. In short, we set ourselves up to get many preventable diseases, and decrease our quality and quantity of life.
This is why a meal plan for healthy digestion, aimed at restoring and maintaining your entire body, is essential.
You must clear away the things which are threatening your health and start consuming items which are life-giving, friendly bacteria restoring, and pH balancing before it is too late. Only then will you truly be able to feel and be as healthy as you deserve.
